Volunteer

A volunteer assisting a man with food.

If you want to volunteer

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to have the right words.

You just need to show up.

Once a month, we meet people where they are—outside, overlooked, and usually carrying more than most of us can see. We’re not there to fix everything. We’re there to serve, to listen, and to treat people like they matter… because they do.

Some days are simple.
Some days aren’t.

All of them matter.

Where

We meet in the parking lot near the Cadillac Motel
1403 West 2nd Street, Owensboro, KY

When

We arrive at 10:00 AM and begin serving around 10:30 AM.
Rain or shine, we go.

We’re usually wrapped up and heading out by 1:00 PM.

What to expect

Depending on the day, we serve between 200–300 people.

You’ll help unload trailers, set up tables, and hand out food, hygiene items, and whatever else we’ve been given to share.

There’s usually not much shelter from the weather, so dress for it.

You may have conversations that stay with you.
You may meet people you won’t forget.

And yeah… it might be uncomfortable at times.

That’s part of it.

What you don’t need

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You don’t need to say the perfect thing.

Just come willing.

What to do next

Just show up.

No sign-up. No process. No pressure.

If you’ve been thinking about it for a while, this is your sign—come see for yourself.
